A 1970s guilty pleasure

Another Christmas commission.

This one is of a successful financial company director who has a reputation for wearing a 70s disco wig and glasses. Not sure of the story behind that but with that smile I can't help but think of Austin Powers (although he was more 1960s).

Oh my goodness! It's only BRYAN FERRY!!!

Christmas present caricature commission number 2.

I had actually never heard of Bryan Ferry when I was asked to do this caricature.

The story behind this caricature is that this Pete guy is a BIG Bryan Ferry fan. During a signing Bryan said to Pete "Nice jacket!" and since then Pete has done nothing but talk about how Bryan liked his jacket.

"HERE COMES THE GIIIIIRLS!"

Caricature Christmas present commissions - I got a few just before Christmas. 

Here's one of a bunch of ladies:

I say 'bunch' of ladies as they they are like a bunch of lovely flowers ...lighting up a room with their HUGE cartoony smiles.

I am half expecting them to break into a dance (maybe after a few wines, eh ladies? ;oP )

I can barely contain(er) myself

Towards the end of 2013 I was involved in designing a character for some branding for a cargo container company: Millennium Cargo

The result was:

The brief was to turn a cargo container into a character that will illustrate different sections of their website and newsletters. From promoting their social media to their 'moving abroad' packages or even to illustrate their 'Get A Quote' section this guy is all over it.

There's some more positions in the pipeline so stay tuned to see what this little fella gets up to next.
